Another awesome Hypnobirthing story.
I get a lot of referrals form the Family Birth Centre at KEMH and after reading this, you will see why.
Hi Pip,
Well we have a new addition! Remy Bob Harriss born yesterday 15.3.16 at 11:29am (1 day before guess date).
Was quite the experience I must say.
All the midwives said I looked so calm and in control but it didn’t exactly feel that way haha!
I suppose as the birthing mother we are so much more heightened to every part of the labour.
At times I thought I was a mess but apparently I never appeared to be.
I was able to do a drug free water birth which was beautiful! I’m still actually amazed at that.
I definitely had the moment where I thought ‘ok I don’t want to do this anymore’ but I was happy to know that meant I must be close and to keep going!
Tim did amazingly as a support partner. He said he felt really comfortable having the Hypnobirthing toolkit.
He wasn’t sure whether he had prepped himself enough before but when the time came it all made sense and he knew what to do (or I told him).
Tens machine worked well early on (until my fave started to tingle) and the sacrum acupressure was great after that. We also used the shoulder acupressure grounding points when I was bearing down in the water.
Thank you for the amazing course and your guidance! I’ve highly recommended it to anyone and everyone I know whether they were pregnant or not
