Here is another example of how the Hypnobirthing Australia programme helps couples for a positive, calm birth meet what ever turn their birth takes.

“Hey Pip.

Clementine was born on 26 June at 19.51 weighing 7lb 9oz.

After 23 hrs of labour, Clemmie’s head wasn’t down on the cervix and I had stopped dilating.

My waters were ruptured and there was meconium present.

Due to the risk of the umbilical cord dropping into the space in front of her head and the signs of distress from the mec, my doctor performed a c-section and Clemmie was born!!

We’re so lucky and completely smitten with our little girl.

Even though things didn’t go according to ‘plan’, the hypnobirthing helped tremendously.

I managed 16 hrs of labour using the hypnobirthing techniques.

When they decided to induce me with syntocin, I was exhausted and requested an epidural.

We persevered with syntocin and rupturing membranes for another 7 hrs and then eventually had to go with a c- section.

Throughout the experience, I was calm and happy.

The midwives were very impressed at my calmness and said I’d have had no problems delivering without any pain relief had it been straight forward.

Morgan was awesome and even managed to get 5 hrs sleep during the attempt at inducing me!

Clemmie is a delightful baby, very alert, feeding well and seems to be coping well with her new environment.

Thanks for all your help and advice during the sessions. I will certainly be recommending you to anyone that will listen! I will keep you posted on our progress.

Thanks again, Rachel, Morgan and Clemmie xx”
